In the course of setting up my domains I have gained experience in:
- Shared hosting and virtual private servers
- AWS
- DNS
- Postfix and dovecot
- SPF and dkim for emails
- PGP email encryption
- IPv6
- ssh including setting up access via keys
- SSL certificates (via let's encrypt)
- Installing PHP and mysql websites (Wordpress and Booked Scheduler)
- e2guardian with tinyproxy as a webfilter on my home network. This includes sslmitm and also wapd for automatic proxy config.
- fail2ban to scan the log files and install a iptables route to block ip addresses which are trying to gain unauthorised access to my server via ssh or via the mail protocols.
- Google Analytics
- VPNs: both OpenVPN and wireguard
